The Golden Key Center for Exceptional Children, Inc. is a not for profit childcare center for children with special needs, children that are medically fragile and children diagnosed with autism. Also welcome and encouraged are typically developing children.
The school is at 1431 30th St. NW in Canton.
Hours are 6:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. for child care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. The Summer Camp Program:is for children ages 3 to 12 years old. Camp hours are 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Visitors can discover what life was like aboard a working Great Lakes freighter, the William G. Mather, when they explore the 1925-built Mather from bow to stern and see its huge cargo holds, brass and oak pilot house, elegant guest quarters and four-story engine room. They also can walk the decks and marvel at the “engineering firsts” that helped transform Northeast Ohio into a great industrial center.
The Mather is docked at 305 Mather Way (old Erieside Avenue), north of the Great Lakes Science Center.
This is the perfect summer club for ages 3-5. It is packed full of interactive games, arts & crafts, special events, and two days of kiddie splash pool time! The program will run Tuesdays & Thursdays, July 7-July 30. There is limited space available, so register early! Cost is $40 for Massillon Recreation Center members, $44 for Massillon Taxpayers, and $56 for Non-Taxpayers.

The Minerva Public Library's Young Adult Group (YAGS), for youths who have completed fifth through eighth grades, meets at the library from 1 to 2 p.m. every Tuesday in the summer for creative activities, games, food, and surprises.

A presentation about veterans benefits will be given from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. July 7 at the Pines Lakeside Therapy Center at 3015 17th St. NW in Plain Township.
• Are you a veteran or a surviving spouse of a veteran?
• Do you need in-home care, reside in a care facility or will you possibly enter a care facility?
• Did the veteran serve at least 90 days of active duty, one of which was during wartime? Was the veteran honorably discharged?

Bashaw & Associates Counseling & Wellness Center is offering a support group for women who are experiencing menopause. The group meets every Tuesday, May 5 through July 7, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the counseling/wellness practice at 5590 Lauby Rd., Suite 3, in Green (near the Akron Canton Airport).
The group meetings will offer encouragement, fun and opportunities to redefine and recharge the body, mind and spirit throughout this midlife event.
Ms. Bashaw, MSSA, LISW-S, is the owner/therapist of the counseling and wellness center.
Beech Creek Botanical Garden & Nature Preserve in Washington Township, near Alliance, will be opening its Butterfly House on July 6. In preparation for this, the following Butterfly House training is being offered.
Training sessions are for anyone interested in volunteering at the Butterfly House by interacting with visitors, giving tours, and offering resource information.
