The Nimishillen Grange is hosting an antique tractor show and tractor pulls and other events July 18 and 19.
Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 19.
A pancake breakfast will be available from 8 to 11 a.m. A tractor pull, for tractors manufactured in 1959 and earlier, will be held at noon. An antique-auto cruise-in will take place at 1 p.m. Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the day.
Admission is $3 for adults, free for children under age 16 accompanied by an adult.
The Nimishillen Grange is at 6461 Easton St . NE, at California Avenue, in Nimishillen Township.

Blending the artistic expression of the Ohio Plein Air Society (OPAS) and the craftsmanship of the Lakeside Wooden Boat Society (LWBS) will create a unique weekend event July 17-19 in Lakeside’s 2009 Chautauqua summer season.
More than 40 plein air artists from across Ohio will capture spontaneity on canvas throughout Lakeside and the Marblehead Peninsula during the weekend.

More than 50 quality dealer tables filled with sportscards, nonsportscards, memorabilia, supplies, and autographs will be present at the Superstar Sportscard Show and Autograph Signing from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 19.
Cleveland Browns great Bob Golic will sign autographs from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Admission is $1.
The show will be in the Courtyard Marriott Belden Village at 4375 Metro Cir. NW in Jackson Township.

Visitors can discover what life was like aboard a working Great Lakes freighter, the William G. Mather, when they explore the 1925-built Mather from bow to stern and see its huge cargo holds, brass and oak pilot house, elegant guest quarters and four-story engine room. They also can walk the decks and marvel at the “engineering firsts” that helped transform Northeast Ohio into a great industrial center.
The Mather is docked at 305 Mather Way (old Erieside Avenue), north of the Great Lakes Science Center.

Merging Hearts Holistic Center offers a spiritual discussion format every Sunday morning at 10:30 am. Topics vary from week to week and discussion is lively! Bring a breakfast treat to share from 10 am to 10:30. The coffee will be on!

Hoffman’s Garden Center is hosting its annual Parade of Ponds on July 18 and 19 and July 25 and 26. Parade of Ponds is a self-guided tour of beautiful ponds and water gardens in Summit and surrounding counties.
Parade of Ponds is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 18 and July 25, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 19 and July 26.
Proceeds will benefit the Akron Children’s Hospital through the Clifford R. Boeckman, M.D., Regional Burn Center Fund.
Tickets, with tour booklets, are $8 at Hoffman’s Garden Center, at 1021 E. Caston Rd., off S. Arlington Road, in Green.

The 46th annual St. Joseph’s Ox Roast Fair happens in Mantua from 6 to 11 p.m. July 17, 3 to 11:30 p.m. July 18, and noon to 10 p.m. July 19.

Clay’s Park will host its sixth annual Rock ’N Resort Music Festival on July 17 through July 19. More than 50 national and regional bands will perform, from noon to midnight daily.
Camping and full water park usage will be available.
Admission fees will be charged.

The 42-member Canton Concert Band is offering a series of free Summer Sunset Concerts at parks throughout Stark County.
The programs will include pop music, light classical selections, show tunes, and marches.
The band’s members include professional musicians along with some high school and college students. Conductors and music will vary by concert.
Programs begin at 7 p.m., except as noted. Bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating.

The Zoar Wetlands Arboretum is hosting its first “While the Bugs Bite” community picnic fundraiser from 1 to 4 p.m. July 19 at the Zoar Wetlands Arboretum at 434 W. Fifth
St.
“While the Bugs Bite” will offer hot dogs, homemade dishes, snacks and soft drinks.
Music will be provided by Blue Moon and The Tunes Brothers from 2 to 5 p.m.
There will be a raffle to win Cleveland Indians tickets, courtesy of Countywide Landfill, a 50/50 drawing, corn hole, miniature golf for kids and canoe rides.
Admission is $5 per person and children are free.

Exhibit details history of Walsh University, established as Walsh College in 1960. Display combines nostalgic piecess of the proud past of "Walsh College" with current technology refelcting the story of growth and expansion that has produced an exemplary faith-based University. It also encompasses the vsion of its founders, the Brothers of Christian Instruction, who continue to hold a presence on campus, involved with curriculum and students' activities.

The Canton Comic Opera Company will present the 1902 operetta THE SULTAN OF SULU with music by Alfred Wathall and Book and Lyrics by George Ade on Thursday, July 16 at 8:00 pm, Saturday, July 18 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 19 at 2:00 p.m. All performances will be at the Canton Jewish Community Center Auditorium, 2631 Harvard Ave. N.W., Canton, Ohio 44709. THE SULTAN OF SULU will feature a cast of 30 and a 25 piece orchestra directed by Joseph N. Rubin. Tickets are $15.00 for general admission.

Lake Township Historical Society will hold an open house at the One-Room Schoolhouse No. 12 Open House from 2 to 5 p.m. July 19. The One-Room Schoolhouse is at 1101 Lake Center St. NW.
Visitors can see what a one-room schoolhouse looked like and see photos of classmates.

Toledo, Ohio-based indie band Resonant Soul will perform in Geneva-on-the-Lake as part of its summer tour that spans from Brooklyn to Minneapolis. The band will perform at the Cove Night Club at 4 p.m. July 19.
Resonant Soul recently was heard on Cleveland’s 100.7 WMMS radio.

Canal Fulton Parks and Recreation is sponsoring a Free Concert in the Park, “Country Sunrise Special” Sunday, July 19, 2009 at 7:00 pm. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy an outdoor concert. The concert will be in Muhlhauser Park behind the Northwest Senior Center at 853 Locust Street in Canal Fulton.
