Canton Floors Interiors, Marscotti's Pizza, Riffil's and Riverside Bar and Grill are sponsoring the inaugural golf scramble to be played July 26 with a shotgun start at Lyons Den Golf Course, 6347 Manchester Rd., Canal Fulton. Cost is $60 per player and includes food, beverages and prizes. 10 percent of proceeds benefit the Make A Wish foundation. The Greater Akron Motorcycle Club Foundation in cooperation with the Kingdom Knights, Kings Kids and the Righteous Riders will host the 16th annual Motorcycle Ride for Hattie Larlham on July 26.
Registration is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 26 at the Greater Akron Motorcycle Club, at 1540 Smith Rd. in Akron. There is a $10 minimum donation to participate.

Seven stamp dealers will buy and sell stamps, covers and postcards at the Hudson Stamp Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 26.
The show will be at the Clarion Inn (the former Holiday Inn) at 240 E. Hines Hill Rd. in Hudson.
Admission is free.

Visitors can discover what life was like aboard a working Great Lakes freighter, the William G. Mather, when they explore the 1925-built Mather from bow to stern and see its huge cargo holds, brass and oak pilot house, elegant guest quarters and four-story engine room. They also can walk the decks and marvel at the “engineering firsts” that helped transform Northeast Ohio into a great industrial center.
The Mather is docked at 305 Mather Way (old Erieside Avenue), north of the Great Lakes Science Center.

Canton South Church of the Nazarene will hold its annual “Biker Sunday” on July 26. Worship service will be at 10:30 a.m. At noon, there will be a cookout and at 1:00 p.m. the Blessing of the Riders will take place. The ride will start immediately afterwards and the route will return to the church. Canton South Church of the Nazarene is at 2701 Cleveland Ave S at Mill Street SW. The event is open to all ages. The nursery will be open.

Merging Hearts Holistic Center offers a spiritual discussion format every Sunday morning at 10:30 am. Topics vary from week to week and discussion is lively! Bring a breakfast treat to share from 10 am to 10:30. The coffee will be on!

Hoffman’s Garden Center is hosting its annual Parade of Ponds on July 18 and 19 and July 25 and 26. Parade of Ponds is a self-guided tour of beautiful ponds and water gardens in Summit and surrounding counties.
Parade of Ponds is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 18 and July 25, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 19 and July 26.
Proceeds will benefit the Akron Children’s Hospital through the Clifford R. Boeckman, M.D., Regional Burn Center Fund.
Tickets, with tour booklets, are $8 at Hoffman’s Garden Center, at 1021 E. Caston Rd., off S. Arlington Road, in Green.

The Norma Johnson Center in the Dover area will offer a butterfly exhibit July 20-26.
Fran LeMasters will set up an interactive 12-by-5-foot enclosure featuring butterflies, caterpillars and chrysalis. She belongs to the International Butterfly Breeders Association.
The exhibit will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 7 p.m.
The O’Donnell Family Charitable Foundation is sponsoring this exhibit.
The Norma Johnson Center is at 3870 State Route 39 NW in Dover.

The Osnaburg Historical Society is holding a 175th Birthday Celebration of the Werner Inn from 1:30 to 4 p.m. July 26 at the inn.
Special guests include “Abraham Lincoln,” “Betsy Ross” and “Uncle Sam.”
The Tytley Wounde String Band will perform.
The Marlboro Township volunteers with present Civil War artifacts. The Osnaburg Quilt and Fiber Guild will show its crafts, and Evelyn Hewitt will demonstrate with her loom.
Jeff Lotze from the Eastern Ohio Chapter of the Ohio Lincoln Highway Association will speak.
There will be free homemade pie and ice cream, tours of the home, and much more.
Raffle tickets will be available for a beautiful basket from the Osnaburg Historical Society.
The Werner Inn is at 131 E. Nassau St. in East Canton.

What little girl doesn't love to be a princess? Silver Star Youth Theatre Company and Stark Parks are offering your little ones a day of royal luxury. This is one event where tiaras, bejeweled scepters, and gowns will be all the rage. Costumes, even for parents, are highly encouraged. Young gentlemen are also invited because what princess doesn't need a prince! The party is centered around a Silver Star Princess Concert.

The Ohio All Media Juried Exhibition, featuring paintings, media art, prints, photographs, ceramics, sculpture and assemblage art, opens July 26 in the Coburn Gallery at Ashland University.
The Coburn Gallery will host an opening reception from 2 to 4 p.m. July 26. The reception is free and open to the public. Awards will be announced at 3 p.m.

Lake Township Historical Society is presenting “History of Hartville Elevator,” featuring displays from 100 years, from 2 to 5 p.m. July 26.
The museum also will have an exhibit of old farm tools.
The museum is at 3303 Myers St. NW.
