The 44th annual Northeast Ohio Photography Show at the Canton Jewish Community Center will run from Feb. 5 through Feb. 25. The Jewish Center, at 2631 Harvard Ave. NW, is open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
A special preview for entrants, sponsors, patrons and donors will take place at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 4.
The show, sponsored by the late Dr. Samuel S. and Celia G. Reinglass, will run through Feb. 25.

The 2010 Great Big Home & Garden Expo will take place Feb. 6-14 at the I-X Center in Cleveland.
The show will feature three custom-built model homes, 21 gardens, hundreds of exhibits, a host of other features and celebrity appearances, and a multitude of new ideas, products and inspiration for home improvement projects.
The show is being produced by Marketplace Events of Solon.
Company spokesman Ty Pennington will make two live appearances at the show Feb. 13.
Burlington Coat Factory at 4790 Everhard Rd. NW is collecting monetary donations to support the American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development Fund.
Donations will be accepted through Feb. 17. All Burlington Coat Factory locations will accept donations to the fund.
Assistance provided by the American Red Cross may include sending relief supplies, mobilizing relief workers and providing financial resources.
The Olde Stark Antique Faire will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 13 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 14 at the Stark County Fairgrounds.
More than 100 dealers are expected to show and sell a wide range of antiques and other collectibles.
Auctioneer Dave Morris will offer free appraisals at his booth.
Admission is $4, with children under 12 admitted free. Early-bird admission at 7 a.m. Saturday is $5.
Through the Help Haiti campaign, Westfield Belden Village mall is serving as a donation collection site for Convoy of Hope Charities. Donations can be made at the Concierge Center in the north wing. Proceeds are transferred directly to those in need.
Convoy of Hope is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that already has an emergency command center operating just outside of the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince and is distributing water and supplies to victims of the earthquake.

St. Anthony of Padua Parent Teacher Union will present its 55th annual Italian Feast Spaghetti Dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 14 in the Church Hall at 83 Mosser Pl. in Akron. Carryout will be available.
Cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children.
St. Anthony of Padua Church, an Italian parish, was established in 1933. St. Anthony School was established in September 1955 and still offers an outstanding education to those who enter the school today. Tuition at St. Anthony School is kept at a minimum to help today's parents provide a quality education for their children.

On Saturdays and Sundays in January and February from noon to 3 p.m., you can experience the thrill of hand-feeding wild birds at Beech Creek Botanical Gardens and Nature Preserve, at 11929 Beech St. NE in Washington Township, just outside Alliance.
Volunteers will be available to coach you on attracting chickadees to feed from your hand.
The bird feeder is just across the bridge, about a quarter mile from the parking lot.
Dress for the weather. We will provide bird seed, a fire, and a warm beverage.

Get in the water and get a great workout while having fun and competing in this high-energy water sport. The Massillon Parks and Recreation Department is offering Water Polo at the Massillon City School Pool. Ages 12-15 will play 1:00-2:30 pm and ages 16 and over will play 2:45-4:15 pm. Water Polo is a challenging water sport played between two teams who try to throw a ball into the opponent’s goal. Sounds easy? Here’s the catch: you cannot touch the sides or bottom of the pool for extended periods of time during the game.

The Stark Revolution and Canton Conquest professional basketball teams will hold a joint team free agent camp Feb. 14 at the Southeast Community Center at 1400 Sherrick Rd. SE in Canton. Registration begins at 2 p.m., and tryout begins at 3 p.m.
The Revolution and Conquest are part of the Global Professional Basketball League (GPBL), Stark Revolution will play in North Canton, and the Canton Conquest will play in downtown Canton.
The free agent camp is open to anyone 18 years and older. Space is limited.
Cost is $100 if pre-registered and pre-paid, or $125 the day of the event.
A pasta fundraiser for Ben Stanoyevic will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. Feb. 14 at Lakeside Banquet Center, 5225 Leona Ave. SW, Navarre. Ben is a Genoa Elementary student with multiple diseases.
The event features raffle baskets, 50/50 drawing and a performance by the Perry Pipers.
Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Money raised go towards medical expenses. No tickets will be sold at the door and are available at Perry High School by calling (330) 477-3486, ext. 130. The fundraiser is sponsored by the students of the Perry College Medical Tech Prep program.
Presidential historian Richard L. McElroy, of Canton, will sign copies of his newest book, “Battlefield Presidents: Zachary Taylor and Benjamin Harrison and Their America,” from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 14 at Borders bookstore on The Strip.
A retired Mount Union College history professor, McElroy has written several books on American presidents, including William McKinley. He also will field questions on the presidents and first ladies.
The book is $19.95 for soft cover and $29.95 for hardback.
The John T. Huston-Dr. John D. Brumbaugh Nature Center of Mount Union College will be holding a Valentine’s Day Walk with a Naturalist at 2 p.m. Feb. 14.
No registration is required.

The FAFSA is the federal application that is required to receive federal financial aid, including the Federal Pell Grant and student loans as well as the need-based state grants.

Stone Springs Vineyard will host a Valentine’s Dinner at Roadhouse Restaurant from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 14.
Five serving stations featuring gourmet appetizers, entrees and desserts will be paired with different wines.
