The 44th annual Northeast Ohio Photography Show at the Canton Jewish Community Center will run from Feb. 5 through Feb. 25. The Jewish Center, at 2631 Harvard Ave. NW, is open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
A special preview for entrants, sponsors, patrons and donors will take place at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 4.
The show, sponsored by the late Dr. Samuel S. and Celia G. Reinglass, will run through Feb. 25.

A new Kent State University Museum exhibit, “The Kokoon Arts Club: Cleveland Revels,” looks back at the iconic club formed in 1912.
The exhibit, which runs from March 19, 2009, through Feb. 28, 2010, highlights the profound effect of the club, whose most memorable activities were the annual masked balls at staged venues around the city. On display are the posters and costumes, both designed and worn by members at these extravagant balls.

“The Unguarded Moment,” a retrospective exhibit of 50 photos by Steve McCurry, is on view from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays Feb. 6 through April 2 at the Joseph Saxton Gallery of Photography, at 520 Cleveland Ave. NW in downtown Canton.
Admission is free.

McCurry is the photographer who took what has been called the most recognizable photograph in the world today — the green-eyed “Afghan Girl” on the cover of National Geographic in 1984.

The Malone University School of Business, Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) will present money-saving sisters Sara and Lisa Steigerwald Wednesday, February 24 at 5:30 p.m. in Regula Hall (room 208) on the Canton campus. NAMI Stark County offers the HAND - to - HAND Parent Education Class

Heart disease is the nation's number one killer of people over the age of 45. Knowing the main risk factors for heart disease can help you take extra precautions. As part of American Heart Month, cardiologist, Amjad Iqbal, M.D., Medical Director of Satellite Cardiovascular Imaging Program at Mercy Medical Center, will present Matters of the Heart - Reducing your Risk Factors for Heart Disease on Wednesday, February 24 at 6 p.m. inside the Mercy Health Center of Tuscarawas County.

The Malone University School of Graduate and Professional Studies will have representatives on hand to explain its accelerated degree completion program at a series of information meetings. The meetings will take place at 6:00 p.m. on April 1 in room 205, Mitchell Hall on the Malone University campus located at 2600 Cleveland Avenue N.W.

Trinity Brethren Church is hosting a study on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30. This study consists of a 15 minute video and discussion based on the material, If You Want to Walk on Water, You've Got to Get Out of the Boat by John Ortberg. This study is about facing our fears and choosing to follow God's direction for our lives. Trinity Brethren is located at 455 55th St. NW, N. Canton between Main and Market.

This month's feature at Wednesday Movie Night, Feb. 24, at the Joseph Saxton Gallery of Photography will be National Geographic's “The Photographers,” an over-the-shoulder view of some of today's top shooters at work. Social hour and gallery viewing begins at 7, and the movie at 8.

“Going behind the camera and on assignment with veteran photographers for National Geographic, this documentary answers the eternal question asked by the magazine's readers: ‘How in the world did they get that shot?’
