Tuscarawas County board of commissioners meetings are held every Monday at 1 p.m. and Thursday at 9 a.m. at the Tuscarawas County Courthouse Annex. If the regular meeting day falls on a holiday, the meeting is held the next day.

This exhibit concentrates on the extremely important, but nonpolitical role that First Ladies play in international diplomatic relationships for our country. This exhibit will feature First Ladies Elizabeth Monroe, Harriet Lane, Helen Taft, Lou Hoover, Jackie Kennedy, Pat Nixon, Rosalynn Carter and Hillary Clinton. On display will be gifts given to First Ladies from various countries around the world on loan from Presidential Libraries and Museums.

“The Unguarded Moment,” a retrospective exhibit of 50 photos by Steve McCurry, is on view from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays Feb. 6 through April 2 at the Joseph Saxton Gallery of Photography, at 520 Cleveland Ave. NW in downtown Canton.
Admission is free.
McCurry is the photographer who took what has been called the most recognizable photograph in the world today — the green-eyed “Afghan Girl” on the cover of National Geographic in 1984.

T.H.I.N.K.: Together Helping Increase Neurological Knowledge
We need YOU to attend T.H.I.N.K. This support group is for those individuals that have been diagnosed with stroke and their family/caregivers. It is an opportunity for discussion, caregiver support, resource sharing, and an environment to promote motivation and offer encouragement to those who attend.
This group is open to the public. It meets every third Thursday of the month, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., unless otherwise posted. The group is facilitated by licensed independent social worker Andrea Crayden.

The Massillon Parks and Recreation Department and Jump Start Sports have combined forces to offer a Speed Training and Conditioning Program at Paul L. David Athletic Training Center. Classes will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings. This program will work on speed training, agility and conditioning to help athletes ages 8-14 take their game to the next level. Aultman Hospital realizes it’s tough to be a teen – and their parents – especially when managing a chronic condition such as diabetes.
A free support group is planed for kids ages 12-17 with either type 1 or type 2 diabetes as a safe, comfortable place to learn and share.
According to Aultman’s Child Life Specialist Holly Bryan-Huth, the group will be interactive and fun – including education, guest speakers and discussion.

Five-time Grammy nominated pianist, composer, arranger and producer David Benoit will perform a smooth jazz concert along with bassist David Hughes and drummer Jamey Tate at 7:30 p.m. March 18 in the Mount Union Theatre.
