“Dream Awhile” — A Tribute to Frank DeVol

Come hear “Dream Awhile,” the interesting life story of one of Stark County’s favorite sons, Frank DeVol, lyricist, musician and actor, at 7 p.m. July 11 at the Palace Theatre in Canton.
His career started in the orchestra pit of the Palace Theatre, and it led him to Hollywood where he penned such songs as “Pillow Talk” and “The Happening,” as well as TV theme songs for “The Brady Bunch,” “My Three Sons,” “Family Affair” and many more. He also was seen on TV sitcoms such as “Fernwood Tonight” and the “Carol Burnett Show.”
This multimedia event will have one showing at the Palace Theatre, at 605 Market Ave. N in Canton.
The event is free but tickets are required.

“Dream Awhile” is written by Judith P. Christy, in cooperation with Gary Brown, who will narrate the performance. Herb Crum will direct the two-act musical event, which features members of the Jack Halkides Orchestra and actor Don Jones as Frank DeVol.
