“Missing the Mark: Reforming the Juvenile Justice System” program
The American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio will present “Missing the Mark: Reforming the Juvenile Justice System” from noon to 1 p.m. July 8 at the Max Wohl Civil Liberties Center at 4506 Chester Ave. in Cleveland.
Yvonne Hunnicutt, of Voices for Ohio’s Children, will discuss the work of the Juvenile Justice Initiative to promote reform of the system through coordinating and mobilizing individuals and organizations.
Hunnicutt serves as the director of operations and policy associate for Voices for Ohio’s Children, a nonpartisan organization advocating for Ohio’s nearly 3 million children. Hunnicutt works with partners in the areas of juvenile justice and youth development to raise awareness and expand services on behalf of young people.
The ACLU of Ohio is a nonpartisan, non-profit organization with offices in Cleveland and Columbus and with community and campus groups throughout the state. There are 30,000 ACLU members and supporters in Ohio and more than 500,000 nationwide.
