“Star-spangled Spectacular” Concert and Festival
The Cleveland Orchestra presents its 20th annual free Fourth of July concert downtown on Public Square at 9 p.m. July 2. Loras John Schissel will conduct, and featured soloist will be soprano Angela Brown.
Fireworks will follow about 10:30 p.m.
A pre-concert festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 8:15 p.m.
It includes an arts festival in Tower City Center from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
7 Mile Isle, a steel drum band, will play at 5 p.m. Catwalk Blue, which plays funk, will perform at 5:50 p.m. The What’s Next Quartet will sing doo-wop, gospel and barbershop music at 6:40 p.m. The Bill Ransom Quintet will play jazz at 7:30 p.m.
