8 Authors Celebrate National Reading Day at Stark Parks
Eight authors have accepted Stark Parks’ invitation to celebrate National Reading Day at the Congressman Ralph Regula Canalway Center inside the Exploration Gateway at Sippo Lake Park. The event will take place from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2.
The featured authors’ books cover a variety of topics, including bicycling, local nature, and canal history. Each will have copies of their books for sale. Authors include Stan Purdum, Michael Witt, Margie Vogt, Terry Woods, Jack Gieck, Boone Triplett, Jeff Maxomovich, and Ian Adams. Ernie’s Bike Shop, local photographer Doug Perry, and the Stark County Bicycle Club will have informational booths. The Perry Sippo Branch Library will offer story-time for children Lee Rinehart of North Canton will portray Canal Captain TJ in the Canalway Center.
