"Barnum - The Musical" senior citizens show
GlenOak High School’s Abbey Foltz stage will be become home to the life of P.T. Barnum as GlenOak High School presents the musical "Barnum". More than 100 students will join forces to bring the pageantry and wonderment of the circus to life as part of this amazing production.
Barnum, the musical, traces P.T. Barnum's career from 1835 to 1881 when he joined James A. Bailey to form the circus dubbed The Greatest Show on Earth. The production combines elements of traditional musical theater with the spectacle of the circus including side show acts, dancers, gymnasts, and Jumbo the Elephant.
A special Plain Local Senior Citizen dinner and performance will be presented Feb. 25. Dinner will be served from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., with the show beginning at 6. The cost is $15 per person. Senior citizens Golden Eagle GO card members will save $5 per person for the dinner and show. Those that have not signed up for the new card can do so during school hours at GlenOak High School.
