Black Caucus tribute & dinner

The Stark County Black Caucus will present a tribute and dinner Feb. 21 honoring national, state and local African-American elected officials, past and present.

The guest speaker will be Congressman John Conyers Jr. of the 14th Congressional District of Michigan. Conyers is chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, and dean of the Congressional Black Caucus. The tribute also will feature Ohio Treasurer of State Kevin L. Boyce and Congresswoman Marcia Fudge of Ohio’s 11th Congressional District. The Mistress of Ceremony will be Ohio Legislative Black Caucus President and State Rep. Sandra William of Cleveland.

The event will take place at 3 p.m. at Skyline Pines Banquet Center, 3350 Columbus Rd. NE.
