In light of a shortage of productive units of blood in the area, Alliance Community Hospital staff is hoping eligible blood donors will come out to the monthly blood drive from noon to 6 p.m. Feb. 11 in conference room 1-A of the hospital, at 200 E. State St.

Donors must be in general good health, weigh no less than 110 pounds, be at least 17 years of age and able to provide a photo ID at the time of donation.

The ACH blood drive committee is sponsoring Thursday’s drive by offering a Valentine’s Day basket filled with items for a romantic evening. All donors will be entered in a raffle drawing for the basket.
