Fundraiser for Kurtis Liston to feature Traficant

Candidate for 44th District Ohio State House seat Kurtis Liston, will have a fundraiser featuring controversial former Congressman James Traficant at 7 p.m. Feb. 2 at the Tangier in Akron.
Traficant, son of a truck driver, will deliver one of his famous no-holds-barred speeches and to meet and greet attendees.
Kurtis is the Northeast Regional liaison for the Libertarian Party of Ohio and is running for the 44th District State House seat, which is held by longtime incumbent
Vernon Sykes. After a lengthy legal battle, 2010 is the first year in 50 years that Ohio
voters can vote for an alternative party candidate on the primary ballot.
Cost is $50 per person or $75 per couple.
The Tangier is at 532 W. Market St. in Akron.
