Game show dinner mystery
The Amish Door Village is hosting the game show dinner mystery “Perry Columbus and the Showcase Showdown,” a 34west Theater Company production, Feb. 25-27. A special matinee will be performed Feb. 26.
The Amish Door Restaurant also provides a lavish home-cooked meal, including a fresh garden salad and its famous Amish Door pie.
Paying homage to such classic TV programs as “The Price is Right” and “Let’s Make a Deal,” “Showcase Showdown” is a fast-paced romantic-comedy featuring outrageous characters, such as schmaltzy host Pat Yorback and his dim-witted assistant, Lana Brite. When a murder occurs during a live broadcast, it will take the help of the “studio audience” and house detective, Perry Columbus, to solve the crime.
Artistic director and actor, Jeffrey Querin, states that there’s plenty of opportunity for audience interaction and spontaneity.
All dinner theaters are held in the Banquet Center of the Amish Door Restaurant, at 1210 Winesburg Street, U.S. Route 62, in Wilmot.
Seating begins at 6:15 p.m.; matinee seating begins at 12:15 p.m.
Tickets are $38 with discounts available for groups.
