Golf Scramble fundraiser for Gary Warstler
A Golf Scramble fundraiser will be held July 18 at the Elms Country Club to benefit Gary Warstler, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 4 1/2 years ago at age 30. The shotgun start will be at 8 a.m.
Warstler’s MS has worsened to an aggressive stage and has left him disabled. Proceeds will help fund the $25,000 cost of an innovative treatment for his MS in Costa Rica for two weeks in August.
Warstler graduated from Perry High School in 1993, served in the Army from 1996 to 1999, and graduated from Kent State University in 2001.
Cost of $65 per person includes 18 holes of golf and a chicken dinner. First place will win $200 and second place, $100.
The club is at 1608 Manchester Ave. SW in Tuscarawas Township.
To register for the golf outing, call Jim Urbach at (330) 418-2033.
Donations also can be made to the Gary Warstler fund through any Huntington Bank. For information, call (330) 209-5216.
