Hale Farm & Village “Music in the Valley” program

Hale Farm & Village hosts its 34th annual “Music in the Valley” program July 11 and July 12.
Guests will delight their senses as music echoes throughout the grounds of Hale Farm & Village in the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley. This festival spotlights acoustic folk music played in informal sessions by local musicians.
Hale Farm & Village brings to life the story of the War Between the States. Guests learn about the issues and events that divided a nation, talk with a mother whose son is about to enlist, write a letter to a soldier on the front, and learn how national events affect the everyday life of those at home. Hale Farm & Village features 21 historic buildings and talented craftspeople. Demonstrations include candle-making, blacksmithing, sawmilling, and hearth cooking. The farm also features oxen, sheep, cows, and gardens.
Museum hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays.
Admission is $10 for adults and seniors, and $5 for children ages 3-12. Members of the Western Reserve Historical Society and children age 2 and younger are free. Group discounts are available. No reservations are necessary.
Hale Farm & Village is at 2686 Oak Hill Rd. in Bath.
Presented in concert with Folknet, this event is also supported by WKSU.
