Job Search Challenge 2009

Representatives from One-Stop Career Center (Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull Counties) and from the Employment Source (Stark County) will present a public program on Thursday, July 30 from 2-4 p.m. to explain their services and offer tips to those seeking employment or re-employment in the area.

One-Stop Centers assist both employers and job-seekers by recording job openings from employers, referring qualified applicants to those positions, and providing job counseling and job training. They also offer adult and education literacy programs, vocational rehabilitation, training and employment assistance for veterans, older workers, and welfare-to-work participants. These services are provided free to the public.

The program, which will take place in the Main Library auditorium, is free and open to the public. There is no limit to class size, but registration is strongly suggested. Contact Rodman Library at 330-821-2665 to register by July 30.
