July Fourth celebration at Tappan Lake
Tappan Lake Park will celebrate the Fourth of July holiday throughout the weekend July 3-5.
The park’s annual giant holiday fireworks show is set for July 3 at dark.
Numerous other activities for all members of the family are planned throughout the weekend.
Events begin July 3 with a T-shirt craft at 11 a.m. The Joe Zelek Band will be back from Nashville with a show scheduled to begin at the beach at 8 p.m. The giant fireworks show at the beach will begin at dark, complete with food vendors.
On July 4, the park will host a Fourth of July Parade at 11 a.m., with judging and prizes. A disc jockey, “Mr. Moe and Music Machine,” will start spinning hits at 8 p.m. at the basketball courts.
Events on July 5 include a kids’ activity and horseshoe games.
Overnight camping is available and the park’s swimming beach will be open all week and weekend.
Tappan Lake Park is off Harrison County Road 55, a few miles west of Cadiz and just a few minutes off U.S. Route 250.
