Lance Armstrong Foundation fundraiser at Milk & Honey
A fundraiser for the Lance Armstrong Foundation, which supports cancer research, will be held
from 4 to 10 p.m. July 30 at Milk & Honey restaurant, ice cream and candy shop, at 3400 Cleveland Ave. NW in Canton.
Fifty percent of sales proceeds will be donated to the Lance Armstrong Foundation, which supports cancer research. Former Milk & Honey staff members are returning to work that night and will donate 100 percent of their tips.
This second annual event has been organized by Jon and Amy Cornell. Jon worked at Milk & Honey for 15 years with his dad, Dwayne Cornell, who owns the restaurant.
Jon was diagnosed with nonsmoking lung and brain cancer in late 2006 at age 31 and has since become a fundraiser for the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
