Malone University - Campus Carnival for Special Needs Children and Siblings

The Malone University School of Education’s Council for Exceptional Children will present a Campus Carnival for Kids Thursday, March 25 from 6 – 8 p.m. in Osborne Hall on the Canton campus. This fun-filled event, designed for special needs children and their families, is being offered at no charge! Reservations are required. Contact Jeff Beine, Ph.D., assistant professor of education, at 330-471-8621 or jbeine@malone.edu.
Children with special needs (ages 12 and under) and their elementary school-aged siblings, are invited to enjoy two hours of fun, games, sports activities, food, and prizes. Admission is FREE! Parents and caregivers are strongly encouraged to accompany their children throughout the carnival as our guests.
Every activity and carnival game station has been specifically designed to differentiate instruction based on the needs of each child, thus we’re ready for both kids with special needs as well as their elementary school-aged siblings. Our carnival will feature: clowns, a Vaudeville theatre stage, jugglers, free food, face painting, sports team challenges, balloon artists, special prizes, music, and lots of free carnival games!

Participating families are asked to enter the campus through the gated 25th Street entrance and park in the lot in front of Osborne Hall. Malone students will be stationed in the parking lot for those needing assistance.

The MCEC (Malone Council for Exceptional Children) is a student organization for Malone University education majors committed to connecting with, and serving, families blessed with kids with exceptionalities here in the greater Stark County area.
