Meeting - Greater Canton Writer's Guild

Guild member Thom Lofgren will speak on “Regarding Whizzles and Wozzles, Wampeters and Foma and Jabberwocks Too; Using Silly Words in Our Stories” at the monthly meeting of the Greater Canton Writer’s Guild to be held on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the North Canton Library, 185 N. Main St., N. Canton, OH.

Mr. Lofgren has recently joined the guild and is looking forward to the release of his first published work, “Dodging Butterflies, The Autobiography of Thomas Speaker.” His short fiction work has been recognized by fellow guild members by being voted best story in the monthly reading contest held at each meeting.

Visitors are always welcome and the annual membership drive is now on. The Greater Canton Writer’s Guild was founded in 1964 to provide beginning and professional writers a venue for learning, exchange of ideas, manuscript critiques, and market information. The organization includes people of diverse backgrounds and talent who share a common commitment to the art of writing. Membership in the guild is $30.00 per year.
