MS Awareness Art Exhibit
In recognizing March as Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month in Ohio, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is asking artists to join in the “It’s a Green World: MS Awareness Art Exhibit” and art auction.
Artists are able to showcase their artwork throughout March at the Local Girl Gallery in Lakewood.
The goal is to create awareness about multiple sclerosis, a chronic and unpredictable disease of the central nervous system. People with MS and others can submit artwork to help celebrate MS Awareness Month. All entries should focus on animals, nature or the outdoors. Pieces can range from paintings to sculptures to jewelry.
A reception and art auction will be held March 12 for artists who are interested in selling their works. The reception begins at 6 p.m., followed by the live auction at 7:30. The entry fee is $5 at the door for the wine and cheese reception. Guests are encouraged to pre-register at www.MSohiobuckeye.org or by calling (800) 344-4867.
Anyone interested in displaying artwork should contact Tony Bernard at tony.bernard@nmssoha.org, (800) 344-4867 or (614) 515-4608. The submission deadline is Feb. 22.
