Ohio Boater Education Course Provided by Stark Parks

If you want to operate a boat of 10 horsepower or more and were born on or after Jan. 1, 1982, Ohio requires that you take this 8-hour course on the fundamentals of safe boating, state-required equipment, water craft laws, and navigation aids. Course will cover boating safety, required equipment, Ohio boating laws, and basics of navigation. Study materials provided. You must attend entire session and test will be given at the end.Stark Parks is sponsoring this class at the Exploration Gateway, 5712 12th St. NW at the north end of Sippo Lake Park for anyone ages 12 & up. Under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Adult does not need to pay unless taking test. Lunch 12-1 pm on your own.
