Recycling drive

Keep Alliance Beautiful will host a recycling drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 13 at the College Plaza.

The event is a kickoff for the 2010 Great American Cleanup, a national event sponsored by Keep America Beautiful.

The following materials will be accepted: Newspapers, magazines, phone books, catalogues and junk mail (do not tie with twine); glass bottles and jars and metal lids; No. 1 and No. 2 plastic bottles (such as milk jugs, water bottles, soda bottles and laundry bottles); all steel and aluminum food and beverage cans, and old corrugated cardboard boxes and non-wax-coated food boxes.

Volunteers will help unload recyclables for those who need assistance.

The drive is funded through a grant from the Stark-Tuscarawas-Wayne Joint Solid Waste Management District and through the cooperation of the Cafaro Co.
