Seminar: Measuring Social Media Success

The Akron chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF-Akron) and Canton Advertising Federation (CAF) will jointly present a professional development seminar on measuring social media success. This luncheon event is scheduled for Tuesday, February 2, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cambria Suites near the Akron-Canton Airport.

Featured speaker Bill Balderaz, founder of Columbus-based Webbed Marketing, will discuss how businesses and marketing, advertising and PR professionals can associate hard results with social media campaigns. His topics will include:
* Determining the value of social media and understanding its metrics.
* Integrating social media campaigns and business goals.
* Determining social media ROI and helping clients select the right tools to measure it.

About Bill Balderaz
Webbed Marketing founder Bill Balderaz has developed his company from a one-man consultancy to one of the largest and fastest growing independent, interactive marketing agencies in the Midwest. In 1998, prior to the launch of Google, he started exploring search engine optimization, pay-per-click advertising and social media to help organizations across the country plan, execute and measure Internet initiatives.

He has spoken on Internet marketing topics at more than 100 conferences and events, including those sponsored by the Public Relations Society of America, the American Marketing Association and Search Engine Strategies. Balderaz holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Bowling Green State University, an MBA from Franklin University and is an ordained minister.

Manager of the BuzzSaw Word of Mouth Marketing blog at www.buzz.ducttapemarketing.com, he created the Webbed-O-Meter, which is the first publicly available tool that measures online word-of-mouth and social media. Bowling Green State University recently honored him with the Currier Young Professional Award, and the Columbus Chamber of Commerce designated him Columbus Business Leader of the Year.
