Showing of the movie “Rudy”

CYO and Community Services and St. Vincent Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a free public showing of the movie “Rudy,” described as one of the most inspirational movies ever shown, at 7:30 p.m. July 29 at the Akron Civic Theatre.
At 6:30 p.m. there will be family activities, give-aways, a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle and more.
At 7:30 there will be a special presentation by Gerry Faust, former coach of the University of Akron and the University of Notre Dame, Frank "The Man" Stams, Notre Dame defensive end and player for the Los Angeles Rams, Cleveland Browns and Kansas City Chiefs and
Bob Meeker, who played on Notre Dame’s national championship team in 1964.
Admission is free, but donations will be appreciated.
The Akron Civic Theatre is at 182 S. Main St.
