Skywarn training session
The Stark County Emergency Management Agency and Stark County Amateur Radio Emergency Service will have a Skywarn training session at 6 p.m. March 17 at Stark State College of Technology, 6200 Frank Ave. NW.
The event will be held in conjunction with the state’s Severe Weather Awareness Week, which is March 21 to March 27.
Training will cover what severe weather is, identifying potentially serious weather patterns and reporting the information to the Cleveland National Weather Service (NWS) office, and identifying cloud formations.
The two-hour training will be provided by Gary Garnett, weather coordination meteorologist from the Cleveland NWS.
All are welcome to attend. Preregistration is not required.
