Stark Home and Garden Show

The Stark Home and Garden Show will take place March 19-21 at the Stark County Fairgrounds.
Hours are noon to 9 p.m. March 19, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. March 20 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 21. The event is being presented by The Repository and the Building Industry Association of Stark County.
Admission is $7 at the door for everyone older than 12. Bring a nonperishable food item to receive $1 off admission, one discount per person.
The event features displays and seminars by area home improvement and decor companies and landscapers.
Among the highlights are a landscapers Q&A panel from 12:15 to 2 p.m. Saturday, the Bring Your Own Box landscapers sale at the end of the show Sunday, and a beer garden. Door prizes include a garage floor makeover from Harrison Paint and a granite table from Canton Cut Stone.
A wine tasting event will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at an additional charge of $6, which includes a wine glass and 10 samples. Participating wineries are Gervasi Vineyard, Maize Valley Winery, Troutman Vineyards and Winery, and the Winery at Wolf Creek. Wine experts will answer questions from 1 to 2 p.m.
The “soup kitchen” will offer vegetable soup Friday, chicken noodle soup Saturday, and chili Sunday. Soup kitchen proceeds will benefit the Canton Ex-Newsboys.
Old Carolina Barbecue also will offer food.
Parking will be free.
The fairgrounds are at 305 Wertz Ave. NW in Canton.
