Strut Your Mutt

The Tuscarawas Valley Kennel Club is conducting its seventh annual Strut Your Mutt event July 25, a fun day with your dogs at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds in Dover.
Registration is at 9:30 a.m. and events begin at 10, rain or shine.
A doggie parade will take place at 10 a.m. The New Philadelphia police K9 unit will present a demonstration at 10:30 a.m.
There will be demonstrations of agility, Rally-o and dog/handler challenges, and contests for most barks, largest and smallest dog, best costume and other categories.
There will be a dog- and nondog-related auction, a lunch stand and local rescue groups with information.
Freckles the Clown will be there making balloon animals for the kids.
WJER radio will do a live remote broadcast.
Microchip clinic will be held between 10 a.m. and noon at $40 per dog, including enrooment in naionwide database.
CGC and TDI testing will be done between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. for a fee.
Cost to register dogs is $8 each. Bring a dog-related to be donated to a rescue and receive $2 discount.
Gate admission for public is free. All dogs must be on a leash and current on all vaccinations.
Profits go to help keep up the dog park and local rescues.
Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds is at 259 Tuscarawas Ave. in Dover.
