Free health fair and information session for uninsured and underinsured
Aultman Hospital is holding a health fair and information session on March 30, for all aged residents that are underinsured and uninsured, in observance of the national Cover the Uninsured Week initiative.
The fair, from 1 to 3 p.m., will be conducted at Turnaround Community Outreach and features information on programs such as Hospital Free Care, Medication Assistance, Medicaid, Medicare and individual health insurance plans.
Aultman’s Wellness on Wheels (WOW) program will offer free blood pressure and body mass index (BMI) screenings, and the Canton Community Clinic will be conducting free dental screenings.
Participants can also talk to educators from Aultman’s diabetes and asthma education departments as well as the Aultman Physician Center, which provides quality and comprehensive primary care for the underinsured and uninsured population through an After Hours Care Center and resident-operated offices for Family Medicine, OB/GYN and Internal Medicine.
