The City of Massillon Parks and Recreation Department is hosting two youth basketball programs on Friday evenings, January 15-February 19 at the Massillon Recreation Center. Little Hoop Stars will be 5:30-6:30 pm and Hoop Stars will be 6:30-7:30 pm. Little Hoop Stars is designed to teach ages 4-6 the basics of dribbling, passing, shooting, positioning, defense and rebounding in a fun-oriented atmosphere. Hoop Stars will teach 1st and 2nd graders more of the basketball basics and includes low-competition games so players can learn to apply their skills in a game format. Cost for each program is $60 and includes an NBA replica t-shirt and professional coaching. Register in person at the Massillon Recreation Center or online at www.jumpstartsports.com.
