Information meeting for senior veterans and widows of veterans

A presentation about veterans benefits will be given from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. July 7 at the Pines Lakeside Therapy Center at 3015 17th St. NW in Plain Township.
• Are you a veteran or a surviving spouse of a veteran?
• Do you need in-home care, reside in a care facility or will you possibly enter a care facility?
• Did the veteran serve at least 90 days of active duty, one of which was during wartime? Was the veteran honorably discharged?
• Are you disabled or at least 65?
If you answered yes to some of these questions, you may qualify for this little-known veteran’s benefit of up to $23,396 a year tax free.
