Screaming Tiki Cleveland Super Con Comics, Toys and Pop Culture Convention
The Screaming Tiki Cleveland Super Con Comics, Toys and Pop Culture Convention will take place July 10, 11 and 12 in the Halle Building at 1228 Euclid Ave. in Cleveland.
The event will honor Cleveland’s own creators of Superman, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster.
Appearing will be Edward James Olmos, Sam Witwer, Helen Slater, Michael Rosenbaum, Daniel Logan, Erin Gray, and Ray Park.
On July 11, a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at the Siegel house on Kimberley Avenue in the Glenville section of Cleveland, where Jerry Siegel came up with the idea for Superman. More than $100,000 was raised in an online auction created with New York Times bestselling author Brad Meltzer to save this cultural landmark.
Other special events include the Siegel and Shuster Family Panel, the first time both families have appeared together. Many of the family members were there when Jerry and Joe created the Man of Steel. Come, listen and ask questions from people who knew Jerry and Joe the best. Get the whole story on the creation of Superman in Cleveland.
Hours are 4 to 8 p.m. July 10, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 11, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 12.
Admission is $20 per single day, or $30 for the whole weekend. Admission for children ages 12 and younger, accompanied by adult, is free. Cost includes free admission to IngenuityFest.
