A Snowy Day Celebration
Children ages 5-11 are invited to help Rodman Public Library celebrate the 50th anniversary of the classic children’s picture book, The Snowy Day, by Ezra Jack Keats.
The Snowy Day is a tale of a boy waking up to discover that snow has fallen during the night. The boy celebrates the snow-draped city with a day of adventure.
Children will learn about the author’s amazing life and publishing career, listen and watch the story, take part in a scavenger hunt and visit creative activity stations with arts and craft project as well as fun games to play.
The program will take place on Monday, January 16, from 2-3 p.m. in the Main Children’s Program Room. It is free and open to the public. No registration is required. For more information, call the Children’s Department at 330-821-2665, ext. 224.
